HOW TO: BG Intake Mod - make your car sound cool
DIY WAY to make your car sound cool for bg.pictures up later
lol today i got bored and was looking at my afm and saw the pipe that comes out from under the afm which is the one that sucks the air in that goes down from the filter then up into the fender.so i thought i would see what it would sound like with the pipe off from the filter into the fender. 10 minutes later i when for a drive love it, it sounds so cool from 3500rpm and can be quiet when you foot is not down hard does not require any cutting just take that little s shaped pipe out it just pulls apart

The standard air filter box stays, the pipes that feed air to it go.

Sure why not, you'll just need an adapter.
If memory serves me correctly, and I believe it does, I found that the VL Commo adapter fit straight onto the 929 FE afm and the Z18T afm. Don't know about the BG, I couldn't be assed going to the wreckers to find one today, maybe tomorrow. BTW. I need a BG afm for a little project I have going ATM.

it bolts to a MAF which has a flat face with a round entery, but no protrusion on which a hoze or a air filter (pod) can be mounted... this adapter makes this protrusion

i don't suppose someone could give a step-by step instruction on doing this? i've googled a bit but can't seem to find any clear instructions.
this may sound stupid as well, but are there any downsides or risks in doing this? |
