My Turbo SP20 is now fully tuned and Dyno'd

Today I finally had my Turbo SP20 (2002 model) Dyno tuned. We ended up getting 202.6KW (271HP) at the wheels at 19psi of boost.

I am now finished with the performance side of things. I can't tell you how much of a relief that is.

Thanks to everyone. It has taken 11 months to get to where i am today. Alot of time, headaches and money. But i guess it's all worth it once your finished. WIREDONE and i have been helping each other (more him helping me actually) since i started this project. I can't wait to see how his ride turns out.

good stuff guys... I can't wait to get my money saved up again... next year for sure... i know this will sound very selfish, but, I am lucky that you guys have done a lot of the hard yards already... maybe my run will be easier...

Preeman80,

If you don't mind hanging in until towards the end of next year there will be a group buy for the HiBoost turbo kit, there is already interest from about 6 1.8 BJ owners. We're looking at big savings here!

Cheers,
Gav.

P.s if everyone if getting a group buy we can sort them out at trade price from hiboost (hence our distribution agreement with them) and we can make them all aussie compliant... more than happy to help

Congrats TDK

What internals are you running?

over 200kw is awesome for a FWD. You should be running low 13s quarter miles

I have Wiseco pistons and Pauter rods. The pistons are set at 8.5:1 compression.

Doug, last time we spoke you mentioned that our heavy duty clutch might not last much longer at this power. But what about the gearbox on the SP20. How strong are they?. I asked Justin and he said that we shouldn't have any problems as long as we drive sensibly. He said that it isn't the power that kills trannys but the way you drive. For example, revving the **** out of the car and then dropping it into gear.

Or have 18" wheels and wheel tramp all over the place or the car is too low
