Red face Newbie . 1992 Mazda Astina BG (pop up lights)

Hey guys newbie here I currently just purchased my 1st car a 92 astina BG with only 116000 ks on it(not a bad buy for $2500) agree?
Any how I want to know all there is to know about this little pocket rocket.
Pretty smick standard interior.
I have changed oil,air filter, rocker gasket ,and radiator hoses.
The muffler has holes ,so I need to replace it.
Need to replace rear speakers as they have blown.
Needs new plastic bit neAr front windscreen.
Wanting to change rims and tyres to 15".
It is auto too.

Any ideas as far as modifications that aren't too expensive???

Purchased a workshop manual, just waiting on the postie.

Welcome

I feel your excitement haha. I remember (too many years ago to admit) seeing a white BG in a car yard & wanting it bad but, didn't have the funds.

Bit of trivia. I worked @ a big Volvo/Mazda place @ Mt Gravatt in QLD in the early 90's. These were being sold there new. I always liked the tideness & build quality of these compared to the likes of the 121 (*yuk*) also the firmness of the road feel & steering. They to me were a no BS little car period.

Anyway, bit of advice before diving your hand inside your pocket for your wallet. There'll be heaps of good advice from members on here who've been there done that with these cars. You'll learn along the way & have heaps of fun......

All the best with your lil' pocket rocket

Sounds like you've picked up a nice BG. Convert the thing to manual mate, that will give you the biggest difference/enhancement apart from swapping to the turbo motor. Apart from myself we have several current owners as well as previous owners that all know what they are talking about. Jump on our facebook group, that will be the fastest way to get your questions answered.
