I've had a quote from a local wrecker (more than 5km from home) for a FWD F3... $450 and a 4X4 place in Dandy wants $2000 for a Sportage F3 when/if they have one.
Project phase 3 requires an FE bored, stroked and rebuilt. Cheeper to start with an FWD and add Kia parts as req'd.
Mazda cams accept Mx-5 distributor. Kia only accept Kia.

Nah,
Just that you don't fall off the edge of the earth crossing Mordialloc creek ..|.. Dandy is about 10-15km depending on where you go (4X4 wrecker on Franna Rd). It was Harveys self serve on the other side of Langwarren (didn't see any 'stinas).

Nate, 929 has SOHC FE rwd and Mazda only made FE3s in FWD

If I'm going to get lots more power its best to go the FE3 (in the long run)

When you buy a vehicle at auction it is as presented and has no guarantees and no warrantees.
Dealers need to make the car roadworthy, complete and sell with a warrantee. That costs them money which they pass onto you, they also jack the price to cover the cost of buying your trade-in and so they can be bargained with making you think you've made a super deal. So $21,215 would be what the dealer would pay.

Buy a car at auction at your own risk, if you get a bomb then it's your bad luck. The VACC, Vic roads, ACCC, Consumer Affairs and Ray Martin won't want to know you.
