Got a 0-100psi oil pressure guage of Gav today. Now where to mount it?
Has a orange sleeve over the light. So I'll have to get a green one to match the BA dials. And just to make my wallet lighter again. I might build up the engine sitting in the workshop. The old 264,000km old smokey engine. Last edited by project.r.racing; 14-09-2009 at 07:04 AM. |

fixed drivers seat today. awesome to not fall out of the seat when turning right corners.
old brackrest metal frame + new fabric/bolstering + original bumrest i brought a seat from a member on here, only to get if home and find the height adjustment was jammed at 1/2 way and the brackrest was twist 3cm, so the left side was 3cm closer to the boot than the right side. hence why i'd slide out of it doing right hand turns. it's a PITA job, but well worth it, i don't have to use my leg against the exhaust tunnel to hold myself in place. |

3A Racing air filter fitted. When I find some time, gonna make a 3in adaptor that bolts directly to the AFM that the filter can clamp to stronger.

Is it just me or does it look like four words are engraved into the centre of that scrap?

so for those who don't know, i recently purchased some BC coilovers.
they arrived today, and already i think i might run into issues. nothing wrong with the coilovers. but as the spring diameter is bigger, they might rub or the wheels might not even fit as there is only 2-3mm space now on the 18s. also the braided brake lines i have fitted do not have the 1/2 way clip on them, so the may have to be zip-tied (is there anything that they ain't useful for?) to the strut feet. or i buy new braided lines and sell the old ones with the old coilovers. |

or you can use the split grommets to fit them in to the feet
i remember reading on ebay when BC coilovers 1st started getting sold (b4 i got myn) that the dampner is a bigger diameter, which would lead to a bigger spring ofcrouse that sux man, perhaps time to get some spacers and pump the gurds out? |

Was thinking about this after work, would a little bit of positive camber alleviate the scrub-a-dub problem with the 18's? And im guessing the 18'a are a +45 offset, maybe getting some +40's as you wanted to sell them? eh im pissed while writing this

camber issues arrose with the current setup. using -0.5 allowed the 2-3mm clearance (on the rears). i do not wanna run any less camber. fronts will be fine, it's just the rears with these wide rims that is the problem.
current wheels are .5" wide with +42mm offset. so i might look for some +40mm as suggested. the MS-01Rs will fit without a problem. Last edited by project.r.racing; 19-01-2010 at 11:17 AM. |
