few cell phone pics of the engine bay before the winter

removed my useless AC system last night, I turn it on a few times a year to make sure it works since the windows are normally down while I'm driving in the summer.

BLOCK DECKED TO .015.
BLOCK HAS BEEN CLEANED MAGNIFLUXED WITH NEW CAM BRGS AND BRASS FROST PLUGS.
ALL PARTS ARE NEW.
ROTATING ASSEMBLY HAS BEEN BALLANCED WITH NEW BALLANCER(SFI)AND FLEX PLATE

then once we get that back it will be attached to the rebuilt automatic trans that's already here( auto trans was a requirement from him).

i have new aluminum heads for it, and Edelbrock intake and the race carb that was already on it. the rear end gears are currently 2.73 and those will be changed as well once the engine is done for a better ratio. this car is his weekend/ show car so it does not have to be good on gas...

the motor was a 305 originally, it will be a stroked 383 when we are done plus the rest of the goodies that will be installed.

few pics of Camaro

wow, lots of updates need to be added to this thread...

fenders have been coated in POR15 once they were scrubbed down and cleaned up.

cleaned up the rad support and hid more wires

fitted mazda3 seats to the sliders and brackets before i send them away to be recovered

sent parts away to be coated before reinstall.

cleaned and readjusted the suspension. raised the car a bit from last year since i will be getting larger tires

removed the AC system from the car

and biggest change so far fitted the supercharger to the car...

intercooler mounted under the crash bar

rad support trimmed for piping

dei titanium header wrap

more updates coming once i start getting my newly coated parts back...

with the seat swap how did you deal with the side air bags or does the mazda 3 have the same set up air bag wise.
were the seats a direct bolt up to the protege runners or was fabrication needed

they were not a direct bolt in i had to build the brackets from the oem brackets and had everything welded once it was together so that its as strong if not stronger then the Mazda3 rails

as for the air bags they will be removed when i have the seats recovered or i will have a look through the wiring as i have all the pieces needed to make them work minus the wiring which i could easily copy and wire into my car if i see fit.

the only thing i know im keeping is the heated parts they will be wired into teh oem switch in the car.

did you know some euro-spec P5s had heated seats? The switches go on the console next to the parking brake... might be worth looking into finding the proper switches

Just a few of the parts on the way soon from CR3 Motorsports

already have the matching

also have a new AEM air filter coming.

ordered all new couplers from Mishimoto in black, plus all new T-bolt clamps, as well as new black silicone Vacuum lines.

Also have the CR3 Washer kit being powdercoated by Brian to match my stuff.

also ordered all the AN fittings and hoses for my trans cooler, catch cans, plus a few other things.

Also picked up the water neck spacer from Pope, should ship out soon to be coated as well.
