Grandpa's SR2 ;)
Hey folks!
Thought I'd start a thread over here for the SR2. Nothing much to say just stick for now but plans on the horizon. Here's a photo of how she sits after her bath today... https://www.dropbox.com/sc/p64d1eco5365yya/e6f8kiG1kv Cheers Ben |

Hey all!
I haven't really done anything to the SR2 of late apart from new wheels last week which I picked up off one of the boys on here. I had been looking for some RX-8 wheels from a while and I'm really digging the orange Next up is to add some low to it, as much as I would love coilovers they're just not really in the budget so I'm thinking just King Spring Lows will do for now, anything to get rid of the 4x4 stance it's rocking atm. Yeah I thought the same thing but they have grown on me and yeah I think it will look a lot nicer lowered. Ideally I wouldn't put bigger wheels without lowering at the same time but my old tyres were shagged and these have good rubber on them so safety first

The orange suits the black perfectly. Lower it, and it'll look mint!

Haha super lows would be awesome but not really practical for me.
Just being used as a daily at the moment. Ive always had modified cars so driving a stock standard car has been doing my head in. Just trying to make something that looks nice and will put a smile on my face when I drive it. |

There is a set of Coilovers on Gumtree http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/dockl...lds/1052400130
They aren't mine but I would love to buy them if i had the coin. Also what are the wheel and tyre sizes? Great setup |

Hey Patrick,
Cheers for the link, I picked up a set of coilovers off one of the other boys on here a few weeks ago and just finding the time to install them now. The SR2's not being driven at the moment due a buddy of mine going over seas for 10 week and giving his MY11 Subaru Liberty GT with fuel card to me to look after, so it's a bit of a no brainer :P The wheels are 18x8's off an RX8 and I think the tyres are 215/35 R18. I really like the look of the 215's it give a little bit of stretch just subtle tho Last edited by GrandpaSR2; 12-08-2014 at 02:46 PM. |

You've already got the best looking SR2 I've ever seen... just get lows, go to my thread for an example of what king lows will look like.

Cheers mate I'm getting happier with how it's looking and it's starting to turn some heads now too which is nice.
Yeah I like the height of the lows but I've already got the coilovers and I'll hopefully get them in in the next couple of weeks and she'll be sitting a lot nicer |

Hey I know that feeling - I have a 2yo daughter and a 6wk old son.
Its hard to find time to do things on my SR2 - tonight i will actually get a chance to do some stuff on it. Its due for a major so its timing belt tonight! and maybe install my Sp20 Front strut brace. Keep us updated cheers Patrick |
