Vic Summer cruise 05!

my tip is for late december between christmas and new years?? perhaps the day after boxing day or there abouts? hows that sit with everyone?

same route as the last cruise but in reverse down to cape schank and back via some awesum o roads. the meet point this time will probarbly be at the glen like usual however a stop near frankston or thereabouts will be the go too

for those that didnt attend the last cruise heres the map for that one.

lets hope we can make this one as good as the last summer cruise down to philip island

Meet time 11:30

Departure midday!

Meet! Safeway Seaford Carpark. Cnr Seaford Road and Nepean Hwy Seaford.

Melways Map 99 ref D5.

meet behind the supermarket (not to the side) adjacent to kananook creek. low cars enter off the second seaford road entrance as theres no lip! get petrol and munchies here if required

Destination: Cape Schank!

melways map 257 ref F12

bring coumfy walking shoes!

Cruise map.

make your way out of the safeway carpark onto the nepean Hwy heading south. follow this road through frankston and mornington until you reach Uralla road Mt Martha map 145 ref D11 turn right into Uralla road

Uralla road terminates at a T intersection with the esplenade at Map 144 Ref J12 Turn Left here onto the esplenade.

Follow the esplenade along through the twisties and under the tunnel through safety beach where you will come to a BP servicestation. at melways Map 159 ref K4. turn right here onto nepean rd

follow nepean rd to rosebud at Map 170 Ref A1 where you will come to Borneo Rd. at the lights turn Left onto Borneo Rd.

At Map 259 Ref D4 which is at the T intercection of CAPE SCHANK ROAD Pull over on the side of the road and wait for everyone! weather permitting we should be able to load up 1 or 2 cars and head down to cape schank road for a BBQ and walk down the stairs along the rockeries.


Getting home:


follow Borneo Road to Map 261 Ref G8 IMPORTANT!!! do a hard left here there should be a sign that sais to Dromana. this road is Mornington Flinders road.

Follow mornington flinders road until it comes to a T intersection at Map 190 Ref E3. turn LEFT onto Arthurs Seat Road. follow arthurs seat road until you get to map 158 ref E11. stop here for a bit of a look. and a photo etc.

Back in the cars. take it easy down Arthurs Seat. at Map 159 Ref H8 turn LEFT under the bridge onto McCulloch Street.

at Map 159 Ref G6 turn right onto Nepean Rd.

pending discussions we may stop for a bite to eat at the dromana pub. pleanty of foreshore parking and stuff to keep us amused.

follow nepean rd back the way we came under the tunnel till we reach bay road at Map 144 Ref J12 Turn right here onto bay road.

at map 145 ref D11 turn left onto the nepean hwy

follow the Nepean Hwy back through frankston and make your ways home from there i say. weak pricks like adam and boyd are welcome to stay friday or saturday night at mine and lap home on the sunday if they so desire :P

What about the 7th or 8th of Jan? What about a drive from the city to Mt Dandenong or up to Lake Eildon or somewhere like that. I know the road up to Eildon is awesome!

Damnit Mike, you started the thread, so you work out what's happening and put forward the dates, I think it's clear we will NEVER be able to cater for EVERYONE, so pic a date, stick it up, and hope for some people to turnup! :P

Hey has any one seen the cruise on Ozmazda for the 7th of Jan at doncaster Autobarn. The High octane crew are going to be there filming for their next DVD, should all try to turn up to that instead of organising our own cruise.
