VICS Removal for forced induction applications

Hey guys,

For a long time I've been working towards supercharging my little FPDE, and I've thinking about the VICS operations and hindrances.
I'm pretty much just wondering if it would be worth performing a VICS delete/626 intake manifold for the supercharger. As using the standard IM would hinder the mass airflow into the motor due to the VICS butterflys not opening until 5500rpm (by my thinking anyway).

Has anyone tried and tested this for any boosted application?

Here's a few pictures I've seen about VICS removal

if you have forced induction, there is no reason to retain the VICs.

there's still absolutely every reason to retain VICS unless you gut the manifold like what's shown in those pics... if you remove just the butterflies, it doesn't do anything but hurt low RPM performance

If it's supercharged YES - removal / 626 intake straight up.

Turbo it's a bit different IMO because of the lag. you still want as much low end.
Particularly street car. Unless you - HI -comp and compensate. always try for a wide torque band. more driveable and more usable.

626 intake is best option. I don't see the point in wasting time making modifications if one is bolt on and does the job.
