Protege Garage
Has anyone made a purchase from Protege Garage?
Did a quick google search (and forum search!) and the feedback wasn't too crash hot. Some negative comments in forums, but these were from more than a year ago. Any one had any dealings with them recently? |

Word of advice: Make sure the part/s you are wanting to buy are in stock, otherwise you'll be in for a longer wait...
Ken is a main sponsor of Mazdas247.com, and well if the head honcho Antoine see's any negative posts about Ken or PG, he deletes them, just a word of warning.

I ordered my Tockico shocks from them and he had to order them from Tockico and then send them through to me. Took about 2-3 weeks to get here from memory so.. not too bad.

So.. Today I was getting my shocks put in (i bought them from Protege Garage) and the mechanic calls me up after he has dismantled my boot to get to the rear shocks that the new ones won't fit in the back because i've bought 4 front ones... >< not happy.

What are the part numbers on the boxes that the shocks came in?
I'm trying to remember if there is any difference between the hatch and sedan shocks Unfortunately, this sounds exactly like PG's style . I really hope that it gets sorted soon and without too much cost/drama

Not sure.. I'll have a look when I get it back from the mechanic.
I bought them over a month ago so I'm pretty sure he won't be giving any refunds.. Looks like I'll be trying to sell them off to someone who just wants a front set. =l I would have thought they'd be the same as the hatch but I have been wrong before (as you can see) =D So now I'm on the hunt for some rear shocks! hooray.. |

Well Kenneth has just responded and said that it was a "clerical" issue and he'll send through the rear ones which is good.. Just means that I'll have to fork some more dosh to get the rear ones put in at a later date... =(

So what are you doing with your spare set of fronts? Sending them back? If so, is "Kenneth" (a.k.a. Ken) paying for that? Which type of shocks did you get? HPs (blue) or Illumina's (white)?

Haha I've asked him what's the go with those ones and who's paying. If he doesn't wanna pay for the shipping back for em then I guess I'll just sell them/trade them for some other parts. I'm not gonna be too keen to pay though seeing as it wasn't my fault (for once)
I got the blues. Mainly because I have the whole "smurf" thing going on with my car =p |
