3 Years overdue - My introduction

Warning: Imageshack has some crazy poker ad popups which will no doubt dump some spyware on you, apologies...

Well it's been about 3 years since I joined this forum and never really introduced myself. Infact i've kind of been lurking around and only recently decided to do some major things to the car that i've been actively posting!

I bought this '97 BA 1.8 from a guy who had taken quite good interior care of it. I was really put me off when i first saw it because there were car covers on everything!... beige and slightly soiled and only when i took them off did i realise how nicely they had preserved it. It came with unknown brand 17" 10 spoke rims, and later i found out, chopped springs! yay bonus... *sarcasm*

The first mods i did to the car was get a King Dragon panel filter and 4-2-1 extractors since it already had a cat back 2" exhaust (with a massive tip -dump pipe ala homage to rx7 style - which i seem to have gotten used to, and which i like the sound of).

To remedy the spring situation i've ordered lots of goodies (courtesy of a lot of people on here which i will mention in that thread) which i'll host pics of as work in progress in the suspension thread. Pretty much re-doing shocks, springs, sways, strut braces, brakes and fluid all at once and will be hitting up wakefield park on the 1st of october with my buddies 'circuit club' track day organisers (will post more about this separately), to familiarise myself with the 'new car'. Also doin the autobarn cai + resonator removal soon also.

Never really met any of you in person, but lookin forward to it in the future when i'm not ashamed of having dodgy suspension.

-Mike
