mazda ship sinking

A ship containing about 3000 new mazda 3`s rolled over on its side in the pacific on its way to canada. I reckon this is a good opportunity to get new engines and spare parts

soo if we organise a salvage mission we can claim them?? technically if its not 2 deep and you did own a salvage ship and was a mazda fan would you be able to legally get them out and sell the engines. im guessing if they not down there 2 long you mite b able to get them in pretty top condition minus the trims, electrical and interior..

just a thought lol... any1 up for diving for parts ?? hehehe

You'd think all those airbags would come in handy when the cars were sinking...

hmm ... normally isnt tha cargo ontop of the ship?? its a odd looking thing so im guessing the cars are inside then? well then like 70% of them mite not be watered yet. and if they were secured with the proper tiedowns then perhaps some may still be alright. hehe either way the engine sould still work.

yes, theyre all inside, a specially designed car carrier. ever wondered what the hooks on your car are for, to tie it down in one of those boats.

I don't know how much those tie-down hooks help when you have a car near sideways! I would imagine there would have to be some displacement of vehicles or other parts/'stock onboard that would have caused damage to things...

well yes, i would think there is a big pile on the side/bottom of the boat and some lighter cars still hanging by their chains...what a mess.

Reading the article on msprotege, the ship probably won't sink, it looks like it was just a f*** up with ballasting the ship and it rolled over, and those ships always look top heavy to me. As long as the water tight compartments are staying water tight, the ship will continue to float. Still pretty unfortunate accident, and if it was a ballasting problem, them someone will get their a$$ severely kicked into next year!!

lol the ship dudes would have decent motorkhanas with a deck like that. you really could find out which color goes faster.

The cars with marginal side panel damage would just be repaired/painted and sold as new. Same as the cars that get damaged in freight/transport do here...
However the cars that had up to 20 other cars across leaning against them, would be well and truely stuffed I'd expect. Jokes aside, I wouldn't be surprised if there were some airbag deployments from this way and that...

no airbag deployments would have happened. cars need to on/ignition on to have airbags activated.
