Kf-de / kf-ze

Are the aussie spec V6's called KF-DE? or is both aussie and jap spec KF-ZE's

The aussie ones have 110 kw?

Do jap spec 2.0 V6's have 130kw or 170hp, running down the quarter mile last year, it didnt feel that strong the engine i got, maybe it was my average performance i dont know.

Can you tell the difference between aussie spec and jap spec?

the motor did have only 50,000kms and my cousin told me it is. and hooked up the japan ecu?.

I know i got a amp and sub in it and the exhaust is not the best.
Dunlop tires are not the best either.

The torque from the 2.0 is not that impressive from what i read and its torque that provides acceleration, the kL-ze has good torque figures.

Reading a post from boosted batman, cant find it now, he says they have 170hp, and should be good for mid to low 15's, and having a KL-ZE should be good for high 14's. It was a post from a while go.

I have doubts about the power output of the engine.

Here are some pics again, but they look the same i guess

Edit - i always use premium unleaded to note that down as well.

Edit - i ran a 16.38 quarter mile to note last year, only did 2 runs.

I read on the origins of the V6, up to 119 kw? and 180 nm? in the KF-ZE, seems this 130kw figure is a fable....

AUS version 104kW I believe. JDM versions up to 130kW but the torque figure remains the same (190Nm or something like that)

^ spot on...
The gains were minimal.
In my experience, the BA has a great chassis and the real potential lies in working with that and knowing how to drive it...
It's never going to be a 'quick' straight line car, unless you go down the path of FI...

JDM KF-ZE = 120kw
JDM KF-ZE Lantis = 130kw
A car is only as fast as the driver
