Not a SP20 with a FS-ZE in it, the FS-ZE has a lot more low down torque than the V6 and the FS-DE.
I used to own a JDM spec Eunos 500 with the LSD and a mate had a true Lantis Type R and there was bugger all between them.
But my BG 1.8 GT was quicker than both!!!

Start of discussion.
The KF-ZE used in the Mazda type R lantis was only 130KW @7000RPM and had 180 NM of torque @5500 RPM.
Also your car is heavier than you think at 1240 KG
So all your facts are out.
Just so you know my engine is 129 KW @ 6800 and has 185 NM of torque at 5500 RPM and my car is lighter at 1140 KG.
So in a race I would win. Also the 2.0 V6 has no torque at low revs.
Its all at the top end of the rev range.
End of discussion.
Yes you are right the V6 sounds nice but as I said earlier I used to have the JDM 160HP Eunos 500 which is almost your car and I found it to be rather gutless unless you were flogging the engine.
I only kept the car for 3 months and this is way back in 1996 as it was BORING and found my old 1.8 BG Familia more powerful.
