Mazda Astina 323 Hardtop..are u sure if it`s a hardtop?

I was wondering why some people on this forum own a "Mazda Astina 323 Hardtop"
because I think real meaning of the hardtop can be found from wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardtop .I own also a Mazda 626 rwd hardtop from the year 1982. But please correct me if I`m wrong

Please excuse pr1mo, he's a ********.

Hardtops are pillarless usually, and because the BA Astina doesn't have frames around the door windows, Mazda consider it a Hardtop

Also there's a 323 sedan alsready - the BHA 323 Protegé

Yes it makes sense to me ...thank you. I think that this post will be my last one because this forum looks like too childish for me. You should concentrate much more on the cars. Everyone should take a look http://www.m5board.com/ http://www.carfreaks.net/ and http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/

While the frameless windows might look cool they are probably done to save costs and space rather then "look cool"

They also have that wonderfull added benefit called wind noise at any speed even approaching 100 kph.

In Israel, insurance companies charge a premium on frameless windowed cars because you can stick something behind the window and bend the glass out of the way and open the doors.

Love the way it looks but the fringe benefits aren't all that hot.

Frameless windows need more glass and more accurate mechanisms, they are more a look cool thing, the Astina was the up-market 323.

BTW, AstinaGT may be more of a social forum than some balls and all mod-fest forum. Moto you are welcome to visit but I think your comments are a little unnessesary.

That's why pr1mo has incurred the wrath of the moderators, and no longer has his posts visible. It's simply not on to flame someone new to the board - or even an existing member for that matter.
