How many psi boost?

Rupewrecht 20-03-2013 11:36 PM

16psi with a T03/T04.

Clean_Cookie 20-03-2013 11:51 PM

Wow. Poor pump and injectors @ 60psi. I guess mine are most efficient at 60-90 psi...

Rupewrecht 21-03-2013 12:08 AM

Yeah, the fuel pump died a few weeks after that...but it still did it. Have had a Walbro 255lph since then.

Stock psi is 43.5. So if you got a 1:1 RRFPR? Then you'd have 59.5 as Cookie said.

Rupewrecht 21-03-2013 08:44 AM

As i said, 10 years ago lol

Mcwilly - your inbox is full I cant respond.

Best bet is to upgrade injectors pump and rail anyway.

Head will work stock but will have it rebuilt with new seals.
I will also be rebuilding bottom end with stock bpt pistons and b6t rods.
Vf10, running 17 or so psi?
Microtech lt10s
Custom exhaust manifold
3" exhaust
What about throttle body?
Should work all ok?

Clean_Cookie 21-03-2013 03:09 PM

That'd make good power! You don't need another manifold. But you may make better power.

mcwilly 21-03-2013 04:49 PM

Sorry I'll clear it now. I have the stock plenum and throttle body from a bpt

Mad Mat 21-03-2013 07:37 PM

I just found a spare SARD FPR if ur interested in it flick me a pm.. Its blue :)

SLY 323 21-03-2013 08:13 PM

Pm sent.

On the other hand, how would I go about getting a engineers cert with the orig motor turbocharged, what difficulties will I face?

Also are custom turbo exhaust manifolds legal?

mcwilly 21-03-2013 09:10 PM

It will require emission testing which isn't easy to pass

Clean_Cookie 21-03-2013 09:56 PM

A swap will also require the same wouldn't it? I'd love to go to nsw and get mine tested once running, out of curiosity.

SLY 323 27-03-2013 03:30 PM

Update:

Also need oil and coolant lines to suit.

:)

SLY 323 27-03-2013 09:30 PM

Anybody?

mcwilly 27-03-2013 11:22 PM

I'd just get some nice new braided lines and fittings
