New guy from Port Kembla! [02 323 Protegé (BJ10S2 Special Edition)]

Hey forum,

I'm a 16yr/o (now 17) from a town called Port Kembla (Part of the Illawarra) in NSW.
I'm recently purchased my first car, an '02 323 Protegé (BJ10S2 Special Edition) to learn manual in on my L's as parents drive automatics and wanted to go for my P's in a manual.
I was looking for a few nice Protege's for some inspiration and came across this forum with so many nice cars and examples which is what made me sign up.

Not sure what I have planned but I was thinking of adding a nice exhaust, sound system, possibly de-spoilering (not really a fan of the spoiler on the special edition model) and keeping the aftermarket rims that were on there when bought.

Haven't really taken too many photo's but here are some I have taken with my phone.

that spoiler is a rare mazdaspeed piece... it could fetch a good price
I would not go spoiler-less, the boot lid looks too plain and much like a chopping block without one... the regular sp20 spoiler flows nicely with the car, which is very low

I know exactly who will buy that spoiler for good money. His was just destroyed by the moronic shipping company... Nice car, not many of them seen here!

Hi there and welcome!
Yet another Sydney member... Yay! Lol
Nice tidy looking car you have there!

I agree with you man not a fan of that wing at all... But if you remove it and have none it looks worse.
If you are going to get rid of it.... I would be putting atleast the SP20 one back on.

Hi and welcome to AGT.
I wouldn't remove the spoiler as it makes the car what it was. One of 200 SE 20 Proteges made!!
Removing it would lessen the value of the car too.

Wow thanks for all the replies and kind comments guys.
Did not realise it is one of only 200 made, in that case I will leave the spoiler on its kinda starting to grow on me, I'll see how I go. If I decide to remove it, I'll definitely chuck on an SP20 spoiler.

@HAIGHIE: I purchased the car off of this guy in Woonona, so you might have seen it around those areas. I'm on my L's for another 3.5 months, roughly (turn 17 on the 17th October) Picked it up for 7k with 120k km on the clock in fantastic condition. Still smells new!

Until then might not be that much happening to the car, but I will definitely be active on the forums (if not post wise, I'll be lurking around)

Welcome, nice car =) Let me know if you do want to change the wing cause I can give you my standard one plus $$ for it. I daresay after looking around you'll soon change your mind about it though. They're pretty hot.
