mmmm leather in a sp20....

hey peeps,

Was eyeing off a yellow BJII SP20 in at Denmac Ford here in town that's for sale. The car is stock as a rock from the outside, but when i went to look at the interior out, i noticed something...... BLACK Leather seats with the SP20 logo embroided in the backs of all the seats. This made me wonder, did the sp20's come stock from the factory as an option or something???

For ppl who were wondering, the car is for sale for $22,990 with 70xxx k's...

i know 2003 sp20s came with leather option.

Were the seats leather, or were they seat covers? You can get leather seat covers from the US in all sorts of colours, and they will reverse the pattern to suit the knobs and thingies on our AUDM seats too! A pitty the information is in my laptop and I CBF'd getting it right now.

From what I found when I got mine this is true, I didn't chase it up as I didn't want the leather (cost and not practical for me). Anyways, one dealer I got a quote from had the option and the other didn't.

I wasn't never told about leather when I was looking at them, not that I cared because it wasn't in the budget anyways. Could be an aftermarket job???
