Exclamation Problem After Headdeck Installation

Hey guy well i have kind of got a probem. After installin my head deck today a few of my electronics dont seem to work.
My interia lights dont work, the aircon button dosent light up (but the demister 1 does) and the remote locking dosent work.
Does any body have any clue what it could be.
Im starting to worry iv blew somthing
Please help if you can

fuses

did you remove the negative battery terminal when installing the headdeck?

no i didnt. was i spoced to????
I have check most of my fuses and they all seem fine.

check the fuse "room" located on the drivers side footwell. I had the same prob, it disables all the electronics you've said.

was it 1 certain fuse marc or a bunch of them?

does help with earthing issues if you have any. yeah check the room fuse 1st.

Well i replaced the room fuse. It had blowen. And the interia lights and locking came back. But now im even more confused wen i took my key out my guages didnt turn off.( they are connected to my ignition wire???

mine did the same thing.

i wired up the dimmer wire from the dash to the acc lead into the headunit.

its the wire that dims the HU when you turn on the headlights.

you have wired up the 2 the wrong way. although when i did it, the headlight chime cam on also whenever the HU was on. lol

cheers PRR ur a saviour. Ill have to check that tommrow. i think i remember witch wire it is. its kina weird but because my guages arnt on my lights at all. they are on wen the key is on its 1st turn.

what you mean gauges? as in gauge lights or gauges them selfs?

my aftermarket guages on the piller the lights are on and the volts guage is reading volts. I will have to hav a play with it tommrow and find the correct wire to tap them form.

you'll have an acc wire and an illumination wire. if they're joined hey presto! gauges come on . good way to blow the fuse

what gauges do you have? i'm tempted to sell mine to a friend whose offering me the price i paid for them as i havent got time to install them atm. will want some in future though

Hey dave, iv got a vacume guage and a digital volts guage.
They are fairly basic to install just take a few hrs.
