eBay buy not what I thought it was!
So I bid and won a full head rebuild/VRS gasket kit for a:-
1.8 323 1996-1997 BA 8EBE-10-271 The upper line is hand written. The lower parts code is printed normally as per Mazda Automobile Genuine Parts sticker above the barcode. So I'm looking at it and the head gasket looks somewhat too short to me through the plastic. So I went in for a closer look and opened up the outer kit wrapping. And I find 2 head gaskets with only 3 bore holes in each. Damn it's a full VRS kit for a 2.0/V6 engine! Had a look at each rocker cover gasket, the codes on them are KL01 235 and KL01 2D5. All the other parts are in plastic sleeve and stapled closed. I'm guessing that the upper description should have been written, "2.0 323 1996-1997 BA" Ryan |

they must be mad. I sent an email asking do they have a set for the 1.6 & they replied "what gasket set do you think it is?"............Needless to say I never asked them anything again. Yep, ask for your money back, stating the product description is wrong. Did you pay with PayPal?

how many sales does the seller have?
firstly talk to the seller.. do not lodge a complaint straight away. tell him its for the 2L not the 1.8 and point out that no mazda 1.8 was a 6 cyl.. also ask him if he has any other ones that are for a 4cyl and ask for a swap, but he sends you the item and a return bag etc. sorry dude |

I recently went through all this problem with eBay but my item never showed. You just need to request the phone number of the seller if you haven't heard back in a week.
If you cannot get anywhere after speaking with them, go to PayPal (assuming you paid with them) and send an email to them letting them know the deal. They'll contact the seller after you've composed a letter to them. You then have 31 days to lodge a complaint.. if you do, PayPal takes over and will be in contact once a resolution has been organised. Simple. I got all my money back without an issue, it was great!

seller has offered refund if it is unopen. i did make a slight cut on the outer packaging to remove the head gaskets for a closer look. dunno who pays return shipping costs though? i asked him that question.

Put a bit of clear tape over the cut. AFAIC seller should pay return shipping....their mistake.

Or if you still got the wrapping, just mark it return to sender

I agree with Rupe... mark return to sender as Australia Post must post it if you do that. Saves you costs and him.
