BP engine consideration (323f 1993)
Hi,
So I managed to find someone that is selling a BP engine with the wiring etc, except for the gearbox for about 100 sterling as he wants to get rid of every part he has the engine has about 70k miles on the clock. I have a 1.6 SOHC engine and am considering to buy this engine and the question is can I fit my current engine gearbox to the bp engine? is it direct bolt on as I heard from the seller that it is direct bolt on. As for the price, is it worth it? I mean I think the price is really cheap and since I am considering to have this BP engine as a project. I am planning to keep the engine stored in my garage for like 2 years until I can afford to do the project. Since the seller is going to scrap the engine for metal this month might as well buy it so atleast it would be mine. What do you guys think? |

Buy it - at this mileage it's a steal, especially since it includes wiring (does that mean ECU as well?).
And yes, the gearbox fits if you keep your clutch.
