Sp20 ECU flash
Hi guys. I can't remember where, but I recall something saying that the BJ 323 ECU can't be re-flashed. Is this true?
I think I'm up to that stage in my build to do something with the computer side of it now |

Found a company in Singapore, PowerChip, that has this...
http://www.powerchipgroup.com/datasheets/5/MAZ0058.pdf Not sure if still available. Might contact them for more info. Note, not sure if Singapore got the 'Ford' ECU or Australian 'Mazda' ECU. Edit: Found contact info for PowerChip based in VIC Australia.. http://www.powerchipgroup.com/interact/contact.asp Price: $990.00plus postage. Last edited by Jazzy; 11-06-2016 at 09:45 AM. |

Powerchip? Don't walk away, run away.
Google 'Powerchip' and get some popcorn out.

Oldish post but heres my 2c.
you cant get the ecu reflashed but can wire up piggy back ecu's. In term's of performance, you would definitely need to have intake/header/exhaust mod before you decide to get the tuning done. With respect to the powerchip, I think its more of a fuel controller. I vaguely recall having a look at the ecu and it just tricks the fuelling based on crank/cam sensors. I'd recommend the E manage ultimate as I've wired up two so far and it controls +/- fuel and ignition timing. In terms of performance you get quicker response and better fuel economy. Also the redline can be increased. The mazda engines arent renoun for top end power mainly focusing on bottom end and mid range. To compensate, I have offset the cams on an SP20 which shifts the powerband from 1-4.5k to 5-7k rpm. Last edited by bjastina; 13-10-2016 at 01:47 PM. |

I know I'm a few years late but would an adaptronic ecu work with a 1.8 fp?
