Hello mate
I have use 70 amps battery and work well with 2 poweramps (40w x 2 and 300w x 1) I think if you sum total amps of your poweramp and it is equal or less than battery then it should be sufficient. Or you can use 12 x your battery capacity if you use half of it then it should be sufficient either. |

You're never going to put out the max amperes from your amps.

but yea long story short as Dave said no worries it will handle it |

Yeah, a normal battery will do. Always good to get one with a high CCA (cold cranking amps) rating

You mean the power cables or RCAs ?
Power wires are all the same. Some just have a different logo printed on the insulation and a laughable price tag to go with it. There are some brands with better flexibility etc ( Audison etc ) but for the average ( and even most beyond average ) car audio systems, the plain car audio power wire from dick smith or jaycar is great. You can calculate the required thickness or use this rough guide : 4gauage if you have a bit of power or have more than one amp, and thinner 8 guage if you've just got a weaker amp. Spend more time making sure you have a good ground point than shopping for cables. The ground can is considered one of the most important aspects of installing a system. You'll need to bolt the amp's negative wire to a solid part of the chassis and sand back the paint to expose the metal. For RCAs, I usually use stinger. Last edited by Dogo; 20-01-2009 at 09:36 AM. |
