Only real option on the V6 was auto and sunroof. If you aint got either of these then ask your insurance company why the extra. Ask for a writen explanation you can take to the industry ombudsman.

so your sayin my BG 1.8 DOHC is an SP, even though i dont have sunroof, power windows and all that fancy stuff...even though its no badged SP or even any sign of SP
i looked at my plate in my engine bay, it says its a 323K... ive heard people calling them 323F but whats the difference with the K? Last edited by bourbon; 16-01-2006 at 05:47 PM. |

Um when i bought my sp20 hatch on 13-feb 2002 with a build date of 12/01 they recieved my car and the special model protege on the same truck and they gave me the choice to change my mind but i hated the interior/headlights and the fact it wasnt a hatch but it was a lot cheaper. anyway theres no way then that the model started in april 02 more like 12/01 since it takes about 2 months to get it here from japan (may be looking at the complience plate and not the build date) Its dam hard to know the actual first cars from a model line up unless u speak to mazda i would say.

umm i just want to let everyone know... my BG 1.8L DOHC is not a SP...even though its a DOHC its not a SP, only because of the fact that its AUTO and no SP's were auto...i dont have bucket seats or the sunroof...

I like the interior better, I never realised it was different, but compared to our friends 2001 SP20 it still looks new, and doesn't have threads to pull. |

Just becuase urs has that build date does not mean they started at that date (what kind of logic is that) The limited editions where not numbered so how would u know where they start and where they stop only the vin will tell u that and mazda would have to give u the first and last vin made.
The cost price of the limited was far cheaper but the retail prices where the same, sorry. |

Can I say, I have a BG SP Series II. Made in 1990.
Yes I know, that would mean it would have to be a Series I. Under the hood even the VIN reads BG10P2 - not to mention it has the series 2 interior and all! Weird.

and have a look at the brochure for 1994-1998 Astina Hatch & Hardtop Quote:
Welcome Russ Probably not a lot of difference - Lantis was the JDM name, and Astina was the AUSDM name.

Oh okay, cheers for that, another thing i noticed was the 1.8 astina's KW rating is a 92KW and mines 99KW, they're the same engine right?
Cheers

THANKX.... Like that hardtop very much, but it has never been sold in europe.
My dealer just imported one from japan (together with a cosmo). That's the only one in holland. Is the protege the only one that also has been sold in the U.S.??
