OK,
i had a look at the pic,
and the first thing that jumped out at me was the rims.....and not in the good way (i think the stockies look better)
then i noticed the lack of window tint, the black door strips and the mud flaps, and orange side indicators)

so IMO... yes it is "Gay"... (says the person who drives a BG 323 )

I would put some dark tint (no, not mirror... mirror = fail)
lower it to give it a nice stance
clear, or smoked side indicators
either remove, or colour code the plastic door strips
some bigger rims... that are NOT chrome
new front grille + some eyelids
maybe a kit.

over all, there is about 1 million things that you can do to your car to make it look different.
But in the end, it is about what you like, not what others like.
even if you do modify your car to what other people want, there will always be someone who goes "that looks ugly/ gay" .

also, if you want a "non Gay" looking car, check out this;

http://www.astinagt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14399

this is marcs_sp20's car . IMO very nice looking car.
If you want some idea's, just check out the projects that are going on atm.
there is a wide variety of mods that have been done, whilst doing that just filter through what you like, and what you don't like.
then just make a list of what you do like and you should be left with a car that you like..... and what others like.

p.s. the BJ is a 'grannies car' . the BA is a P platers car . and the BG is a chix/ P platers car.

just my 2c,
AzzA

I fully agree except the BA I would say is more a chicks car as everytime I see one it always has a chick behind the wheel.

lol, well the post got some interesting replies,

The rims are alloy, they do look chrome in the pic, i don't clean them anymore, that's when they go shiny. I have taken some steps already, have replaced the flashers and about to remove the strips. This was suggested every time! . Whats with strips ?. Is it hard to refit them ?

Ok i may as well share why i was freaked out, and this is true story!. I was parked at a beach at a very wealthy suburb a couple of weekends ago, and this white van pulled up next to me. Two large stockish/ built men were inside. I was parked with my window down, one of them hops out and within seconds one he turns around and starts panning my car!!!, he then approached me and and asks 'Exxcuuuusssssss me , do you know where the Gay beaches are ?, are we safe here? "

Ok fair enough, you know whatever, but the WORST PART!, when i said "No sorry i don't" HE STARTS panning my f*king car up and down , all the time giving me this AWFUL LOOK!! like " "well f**k me your car is Gay"

And so from that.......i was left feeling violated!! and paranoid i might be driving a..
