How? and what is 3D Mark score?...I have an Intel system tester but It just did heaps of things and I got impatient so I switched it off and played dawn of war...lol
Alot of people have been saying that its over kill and a waste of $$$ but since I got 100% of the parts at cost price...Its alot cheaper then if I were to buy the same system from Harvey Norman...who want almost $5k for a system just below mine...

You can do 3D Mark 06 in XP its Vantage that wont run in XP.
You can download the free trials from http://www.futuremark.com/ Zappy : I would install Windows 7 on your PC if it were mine. XP just doesn't know what to do with all the cores. You should still be able to get your hands on a copy of the RC & key from Microsoft, if not I have downloaded the image. Last edited by phildough; 04-09-2009 at 07:33 PM. |

Awww Phil, you're ruining my fun.
Zapster: Get yourself W7 64bit for ultimate good times! Until then, I'd say even Shanemo's puta would benchmark higher than yours at the moment. Long time, Gav. |

But there aint any apps for 64bit yet...?...think ill wait until the full version of W7 is out and bug free...Everybody has the opinion on the whole Beta W7 and all that...Seems XP is still more stable for most unless your a crazy O/C'er and need the 64bit....otherwise I would have gotten XP 64bit...once again though, there's just not enough apps to facilitate the change...when is the 1st full version out?...Shane was goin on about he has the full version but Ive been told by reliable sources that the "FULL" version hasnt even seen the internet yet....
Does anybody have any idea what the 920 i7 temp is meant to be?...I cant find the recommended temp?...

How many can you name that aren't going to work?...
In general 64bit is 15% faster for everything..., including non multi-threaded games... Installing XP on your new puta is the PC equivalent of..., putting 175/75/13H tyres on your 180... Gav... ............................. |

If I were to stop arguing...which Im not...lol...where would I be able to download W7...Shane just told me he had it and p!$$ed off...Where could I find the so-called "almost complete" version?...

from what i heard windows 7 has a full background emulation of the core of xp32, so most apps should work fine, doesnt take memory, or much there of as its kinda built in and part of normal process..

Windows 7 isn't officially released to the public untill 22 Oct but the final version is out its called RTM, im using it and its great.
To be honest the first version of 7 they released (the beta) was a better OS than XP or vista. I have been running 7 since last year and i never want to go back. I have even got it installed on my EEE pc. Oh and i'm the manager of a PC store so I really can't wait as no one wants a PC ATM. And I wouldn't have a problem with a copy of 7 downloaded off the Microsoft website. Thats what im using. Last edited by phildough; 05-09-2009 at 08:50 AM. |

I'm running RC7100 on one drive and XP on another so I can swap between the 2. 7 is good, stable too, faster than Vista.

There you go Batty, Zappy could run multiple OS from HDD BIOS boot option [F8 for Asus] since he has several HDDs. This way he can compare W7 64bit to XP 32bit directly.

Man I got so many pics of the Panda's I forget...try jdmstyletuning.com
Good bunch of guys over there...heaps of pics too... Im gonna get W7 asap...see what the fuss is about...no need to O/C though, this PC is wicked fast....handled Prime5 no probs... Apparently the INtel chips are meant to run a tad on the hot side...no uncommon to see 60 degree temps...mines running at a solid 47 degrees when I play Quake 4 and the sought so no probs...some people are reporting temps as high as 90 degrees on an O/C system..
