yeah, but the price jumped $30 per person due to new insurance requirements, so everyone said boo. so i never organised one since.
but insurance is like buying in bulk, you get a massive discount if you buy regularly. and it was very hard to get the numbers last time. wasn't until the thurdays before that i had a full 15. but the mps peeps wanna do a skidpan day, so between mps mx5 323s, i should get enough to do it regularly/annually again. without getting the full 15, i would be paying for the empty places. looking at about $110 plus the cost of either a day or year license for the skidpan. about the same, or up to $10 more for the dirt track. but there is a cheaper half day option available there also. which would work with a smaller group of 9 or 12 peeps. p.s. skidpan = no P plater, dirt track = P plater friendly. |

and just heard back from AASA about insurance for the skidpan. $187. and a few requirements like First aid officer with CPR skills. so need:-
A Clerk of Course, me. A scrutineer, anyone to be honest. I was the scrutineer for most of the events I competed in. A first aid officer, this is the tricky bit. Wife or friends coming to watch maybe? Will be same for the dirt track. so cost of skidpan will be $102ish + food + license. AASA club license required. Can be used at lakeside and QR. Cams L2S or higher is also fine. Didn't know they still accepted these. |

okay, so i send of a few emails yesterday to my contacts.
this is what i am able to offer at roadcraft in gympie. $110ish + cost of license. No P platers maximum group size of 15. (if you want a smaller group, then cost will go up) road registered and roadworthy vehicle. completion of entry form ankle to wrist clothing + helmet (working on this with AASA, as i do not think it is a requirement.) License required can either be a AASA Clubman or CAMS L2S. These come in 1 or 365 day options. |

If I do my CPR refresher (which I have been telling myself to do for a few months now) then I will be first-aid certified as well.
Keeping an eye out for more details about this. Cheers.

$715 to insure the dirt track. eek!
![]() so $131 + cost of license for 15 entrents (full day) or $94 + cost of license for 15 entrents (half day) although it is not too bad. at a dirt sprint/autocross day. you pay about $10 more and share it with 40 other cars. or $110 w/ 18 cars? |

Prices look good dude, I'm keen if I can finally get the damn car back together this weekend. Seriously, no one should attempt a front swaybar change on a BG without a hoist and several people.

Feel free to drop in on Saturday some time and help out. The bar is in and I'm only 1 bolt/mount away from going into 'back together' mode. It's been off the road far too long and I've just been distracting myself with RC cars.
