um.. stupid question.... which service center are we meeting at? isn't there two? and if we do end up on the wrong side, how do u get to the other end? seems like u can only get to the service centers off the freeway(from what i can see on the melway), does that mean we have to drive to the next offramp and do a 'U'y?

We are meeting at the OUTBOUND shell service centre. so drive as though you are going over the bridge and just pull into the service centre on your left... Todd Rd service centre.
I think we are planning to leave todd road at 10.45, so we can get to torquay by 12.15ish. I am assuming 45mins to get to Geelong and another 30mins to get to Torquay, with 15 mins left over because I know not everyone will be there by 10.45!!! |

i havnt gone on it, but I believe there is a road that links the 2 sides of the freeway ( servo to servo ) so that u dont have to go over to the next exit just to do a U turn. if u get off at one servo, there should be a road that crosses under the bridge, linking both sides.

yep... i think it is cook rd/st you follow down, the left at todd road roundabout, under the bridge and left at roundabout to head onto the west gate, but follow through to kfc, and you are done... ooh.. kfc breakfast! hehe.

As long as you are heading outbound from city, you will not need to cross under the bridge.
Ave a good cruise guys. I'm off to Mildura to spread the word with sticker on car & some cards just incase that I just ran off on the colour laser. I'll talk the Astina owners up, then Trav can sign 'em up next week! Ciao. Dave. |

thanx for the clearifications guys.
I'm from the westside, so orginally i was going to come from the inbound, and the map was a bit deceptive. http://www.whereis.com/search/email_...html?id=256303 what confused me were the red arrows, thought it was only one way rd, but a closer look shows that the service center can still be accessed. =) anyway see u all on sunday |
