New BA Hardtop owner!

Hey there,
My names Steve, just bought my first car about 3 weeks ago, a shiny dark blue '97 Astina Hardtop. At first was looking in the direction of Toyota's: MR2, Corollas and the like, but after coming across a charity auction in Toowoomba (QLD) (and allot of convincing from the girlfriend who owns a 323), my mind was fast made up!

Ended up smashing the reserve on the head and scoring a very mint condition car! 148,000 on the clock, one owner and serviced at a single Mazda dealership with log books its whole life. How much? $6,000 on the dot. Was too happy with this, having saved allot more. She's perfect in every way, except the shiver I get from the dust that seems to settle so nicely each morning on the dark surface!

So I've had the tinting done darkest legal, had a nightmare with a double din Sony head unit (semi-successful now) and hunting some nice 17"s.

I've been surfing this forum for awhile now, thought I'd say boo, great place and full of useful info. Hope to chat to you all soon!

Hello and welcome.

The thread you require is in the Queensland section of these pages. There are a far few QLD members not going to that cruise. But do try to make it if you can. More cruises are to follow throughout the year.

Can't make it to this one unfortunately, but I'll be straight on the list if you have an April cruise!

Sorry mate, Just by looking at your avatar it looks like Noble Green, which is a dark greeny blue colour. A way to find out for sure is to have a look at what the paint code is for the car which is under the bonnet... There is a thread on here somewhere that tells what paint code to what the colour is...

Marc

Edit: found teh link!! http://www.astinagt.com/forums/showt...ighlight=paint
