Shops in QLD????

Guys, help needed man...
I was trying to get some superlow springs for my BA. but the place i know, they don't have them saying they are too low and illegal and things like that...
Just wondering, if you guys know where I can get some superlows for my BA 1.8, and around what price?
Thanks for the help guys. ^^

nowhere in QLD sells 2 inchs springs, whiteline + k-mac do though.. but you'll be ordering off the net.

And for those spring shops telling you they are illegal - tell them to **** off - they are just trying to sell you a product that you dont want.

Any place will fit springs if you supply them.

Go and see S.W.T. (Street Wheels And Tyres) on Moss St. they should be able to help you they'll be able to help you out with what you are after, and they are pretty reasonably priced too.

did anyone of you heard of that Kings has superlow springs for BA 1.8??
One of the shops offering me $150 a pair for those and $280 on top for installation.
Springs itselfs are quite okay priced but the installation seems to be a bit over priced eh..

i jsut cheaked their latest catalog and no they dont make them superlows for the BA, just BG and BJ

i payed around 400-450ish(cant remeber now to long ago) for the springs and install

your also have to note the king springs are a faily hard spring rate, it does make the ride fairly harsher. i would personaly go for the whiteline flatout, i know they cost a bit more but they are lower and are still nice to drive on, on bad raods

ok heres the low down, all this info in this thread is in "Lowering Solutions" and you will also note that so far the only way that we have found to get a BA LOW is Coilovers that are expensive. But that said if you find good Lowered springs tell me how they go, cause all the shops here say that the stuts are to long and wont make me customs, I have my douts in them!

the lowest spring i can find are the tein s-tech with is a fairly large 48mm drop, and lower the car will prolly be ilegal.

kyb japan makes short stroke performance struts, i have a set coming form japan that will be up for sale when they get here.

hum... does that mean that the whiteline flatouts wouldn't fit on the BA as the stuts are too long? or that should go just fine??

where can you fine some tein s-tech???

they fit but on std struts they will die quicker and will be a bit bouncyer.

fulcrum suspensions are now an tein dealer so do and ask them for the price, theres one at moorooka, capalaba and stafford

theres 2 models of the stech i say get the soft as they are just a touch harder spring rates as std springs

It doesn't matter how low the springs are if you dont have the travel in the stut. your car will be riding on the bumpstops and you have catchment problems if the sping falls out of the mounts.
the flatouts will fit no problem, im still looking at getting them myself, but as i dont think anyone has gone that low yet with just springs, i dont know how the catchment problem will be. it may be a little trial and error? i dont think youll have any trouble with those Tein s-tech springs but than again im not an expert.

I think its ok to drop a BA 50mm, im looking at going 3", more for shows if i get coils on the otherhand. How much are these kyb struts?

if they are less than $2100 and will give me the drop i need , i will be Very interested.

my car currently has 30-35mm drop with king spring and i have 17"x7.5 witha 42offest using 215/45R17 tires and they scrape on the arches on hard turns and on rough roads. they also scrape with 2 ppl in the back seat just driving around town.

depending what wheels you have it most likley scrape witha 50mm drop.

i cant find any high performce tyres in that size, as i dont buy cheap crappy tyres. and the ones that do the load rating is to low for the v6,as the v6 has a 87 rating
