Supercharged SP20 anyone?
Hehehe!
Found this on mazdas247 last night, although not a new idea, would definitely be a bit left field then the obvious turbo route most people go down.. http://www.aaimotors.tw/Products/pDe...&cid=01&type=d This the kit from AAI Motors in Taiwan, which equates to $3370aud before shipping, and includes basically everything! throw in some stronger rods & pistons, bring the compression ratio down to say 9.0:1 and you'd have a strong motor good for 250hp

id prefer this over the turbo...this would be a shiet load better...marc do it...only thing i dont like about it is...there is no intercooler...you wouldnt be able to push it tooo high with out it...to get over 12psi you would need one...

Not only would it get into boost a lot quicker, but you dont have to muck around with oil & coolant lines, but yeah there are limitations of running no intercooler, but I would doubt you'd want to go over 12psi anyways
There is a bloke that has made a s/c fit into a protege in the states, but with where it sits (under the header) you cant run A/C, something that I like about the AAI kit, you still have A/C! Unfortunately tash wont let me for a couple years

i wouldnt bother mat, specially on a 2.0Lt a turbo or supercharger by itself would give of enough power...

Autoexe front strut tower brace brace would be epic fail with this.
But there are many things to like about it too.

Yeah you would have to run the stock brace, or chop off the brake booster

or get an engineer to make a custom brace up...guys across the road from me make up braces, front and rears and some underbody stuff...but you would need to take the car in and they need to measure everything up...

Oh, and the S/C would be completely in the way of the braces that connect onto the firewall too

actually aussie ones would be harder to do this on...brake booster & clutch master on drivers side? youd be getting pretty close to hitting the pulley and belt...

youd be able to work around it...you would be able to get some sort of aftermarket pedal box that would let you do custom brake cylinders & clutch...
