Turbo - Housing single and divided ?

Hey all,

just a quick question regarding turbo housing

now what is the difference in single housing (single port) and divided housing (double port) ?

By that i mean what are the advantages in a divided housing turbo ?

Cause i hear its better and bla bla but no one really expalains how ?

the one advantage i see from is it a constantly even flow to the turbine blades which can be of slightly different flows, for more efficiency
