melting springs

hi all
is it good to melt your springs just to lowered an inch

its ilegal
and no its not good as the rate will be the same and the spring will be lower, u will tend to bottom out easier
if u do have a oxy torch laying around, and u can do it ur self for free then yea try it out but did i mention its ilegal?
also it wont be easy to lower it by jsut the inch by heating + compression
did i mention its ilegal??
oh there is a company that will RESET your springs, by heating, coiling and compressing to proper specs, but its a little pricey. (but its legal lol)

tanx 7ONYD, but i forgot to mention that the car already lowered on king springs so is it good,and i knw its ilegal lol

compressing springs do effect ur handling and compressing the kings more will cause the coils to be closer together. If its done properly its legal i don't know about it in aus tho

what i mean is the car is alredy lowered 2 inch and lowerin it one more inch by melting the springs thats 3inches is the car gana drive like sh**T or is it ganna be ok

Yes it will handle like crap as you are mucking around with the spring rates... Better off getting some Super Lows for it rather then re-heating the springs...
