adjusting handbrake - BA V6

my hand brake is in need of tightening, and with me being a tight-arse (and wanting to know how to fix things) i want to fix this myself.

so, how do i go about tightening the handbrake? i'm guessing i can adjust it from under the car or on the handle..

any help would be good..

cheers

There is a 10mm nyloc nut on the handle.
You would probably want to take off the center console and have a look see. To do that there is a phillips head screw each side near the handbrake.

Nyloc nuts look kinda like this...

Argh, don't end the thread here! That's the easy adjustment! Mine looks to have been adjusted up the wazzzooo the last time it was done, the screw is almost sticking out the leather, how do i adjust it at the rear breaks?

Send a message via MSN to boostedbatman
You will find that there is still more thread to play with there, its quite long
On the rear breaks it attaches to the lever arm via 2 nuts which can be adjusted to alter length as well. Easy to do, but you dont have anywhere near the range of adjustment there
