The D2's on eBay don't suit a FWD BG, only the 4WD BG Familia/GTX/GTR...

As I said earlier on, I have no knowledge of coilovers. I can tell you that my Dobinsons+Tokico HP Bronze are very firm now that I have the front and rears done. The feedback I feel from the road suggests to me that they are firmer than the SP18's suspension. Yet the springs seem(ed) softer out of the car and during a rock test, however they are still being run in...

apparently D2 dont make coil overs for the BG....thats what ryan told me and besides you dont need the extra expense of coilovers....springs, shocks and adjustable strut tops are what im going for....ive already got the front strut bar and rear swaybar and she handles smooth

Always from the top of the arch to the ground on a level surface. Then you just subtract the difference of the before and after. Just remember you will need to measure it again 3 months after they go in the car, as they will continue to settle-in for a time...

I did my rear shocks yesterday in world record time with the help of a mate with compressors and a rattle gun. It's not hard, just getting the trim out takes the most time, AND CARE!

There was a guy who did basic height only coilovers on his BG, they were a blue or aqua colour from memory. Maybe they made by that brand that sounds like D2? G5? I dunno... But they were around $1200-1400 and only provided height adjustment, which I expect you would only change once or twice in the car's life.

Gav, the aqua blue coilovers you are thinking of are a brand called "G4". I see them all the time when searching around on EBay for other protege parts. Yeah, I think that the pricing was over the $1,000 mark.

DMS or MCA will do them, but you'll be looking up around the $1000 per corner...

I'm going to assume the reason everyone wants coilovers is:

1. Looks
2. Ride Height Adjusment
3. Daylight
4. Ability to change bump/rebound

In wich case, if you guys really get that desperate and still want coilovers, then I could get some custom Kayaba height-adjustment only with your choice of race coils made up for about $900 PER PAIR... Camber Adjustment add $77 per pair... Prices don't include strut tops...

Was that just for Kings/KYB? That's a fairly average price... I've done a fair bit below that for people that have been packaging them with something else...
