Wink

kittens kittens kittens???
what???
now where were we, yeah.
thats just it rubes, i'm not a computer geek. so i can't touch type. this stuff takes forever to write so i break it down.
as i'm not writting mazda's journals, or a 'how to' post. merely answering someone or giving my two cents worth, i don't see that it be deemed necessary to contstruct proper sentances to establish open lines of communication
like i said i can see through others mistakes and then understand what they mean. THEN MOVE ON. but to, how was it put 'pull out the red marker'. thats a bit petty.
i also said once before that sadly not everyone is fortunate enough to have had an adaquate educational upbringing. is that to say they're comments aren't welcomed?
surely if you were interested in what i had to offer the discussion and don't understand something, you could easily say for example, 'hey troubl its gr8 ya finally got ya struts in but i didn't understand the bit about blah blah blah... i'll tell ya more clearly, no problem.
that would be instead of telling me what coloured beast does your home domestics.

If you want the irony in this it would be that I went for a job interview tonight and probably the biggest problem I faced was my grammar. In five pages of supporting documents I made probably three to four grammatical errors per page for a tech job. It didn't go down well.

Sounds like the strut braces are pretty good value.. Are they just a generic brand?

*ponders for a moment* i wonder if pr1mo is still building his "built pr1mo tough" strut braces..

Ahhh you got me thinking of Mikes white valve cover and brace ties...
$75 is good value if they are better than what you already have.

Where did you get the front swaybar bushes from. I went to whiteline they dont have
any and they rang their supplier who didn't have either. Are you sure they are 25mm
whiteline said they were 24mm and would be a special order. I know you have the V6
but I never heard the front sways was different on the V6. You will have to drop the
rear subframe to get them on even with my motor out I cannot reach the rear bolts

i noticed ya live in sydney. i'm QLD i got my bushs from springwood, moss st. they r made on site by ' all about steering and suspension. '
i had the 92 626 up on a hoist the other night n it looks quite simple. the bushs r only 4 the middle chassis mounted D shaped bushs and are easily accessed from under the vehicle when it's raised. front is 25mm, back 12mm.my mechanic told me they 25.5mm. ALL ABOUT STEERING AND SUSPENSION, said they were 25mm n the mech. must of measured a bit of grease or grime. i did see the computer reading these measurements. a number of suspension places 'including mazda' said that they were all different from car 2 car...

Big Mal,

I got the full set from SuperproUK (Aus. web address: http://www.fulcrumsuspensions.com.au/superpro.html). We didn't fit the front ARB bushes 'cos they were a pain the ass to get to. Like you say, you need to drop the sub-frame and loosen off the steering rack to do it. We could see that job taking as long as it did to the rest of the car! I measured the front ARB bushes to be 24mm.

Pictures are here of the bushes (ignore the drop link ones - they're for a different set-up and are being sent back):

Fitted last night - test drove properly this morning - wow!

There's a roundabout I take everyday - I used to be able to take it at about 30mph tops. The new swaybar lets me go round at about 40!

Well chuffed

MarkT (I like your pen name)

I fitted a Whiteline rear swaybar on my 1.8 BA two weeks ago. The only suspension mod I've made so far. The reduction in body roll and improved pointing of the car was very surprising. I'd read about what to expect and wasn't disappointed.

Next step is KYB shocks and -35mm Dobinson (aka Whiteline) springs. But I suspect I've had the biggest suspension improvement already.

For better point the strut brace is fantastic value. Having said that replacing the rubber bushes on the lower arm will keep the front wheels right where they should be. The caster kit would be almost as good even if it didn't alter the caster.
