gearbox conversion

im starting gearbox conversion tommorow.

i bought G5M01 And im planning to install it on 323F-BA, 1.8 liter , year 98.
i know that the original shafts (that came with the automatic gear) wont fit to the new gear. the q. is if the automatic shafts is the same length like the G5M01 length.

i discoverd that the 626 inner joint fits into the new gear i bought.

what other problams will occur on this conversion ?

i need answers.

thanks guys.

if you're going from F series to G series (which i'd assume is the case as your car is a 98, but maybe EDM cars are different to AUSDM), have a look at this

As for auto shafts, i'm not really sure.

just as a FYI the G5M-01 Box has 28 spline gearbox sharfts

so yes the 626 sharfts should fit, but some are ball style C.V cups , vs Tripod from the orginal G5M-01 box,
you should get away with it on the right side, but a custom sharft might be in order on the right side

best bet is to try and track down the correct sharts from a 1.8lt 5sp 93-94 BA lantis sedan (they have the correct ones)

as for now im stucked with the shafts. some company built me new shaft but they dont fit.

i guess i will have to drag my car to the company who built the shafts.

the right shaft is shorter and and left shaft is longer.

we dont have BA year 94 here and here the problam starts. only 95 with gearbox serias F came to israel.
