FS: [VIC] - BP DOHC Engine Package.
Description:
Engine package out of my Astina SP. Has 167714kms Engine number: BP615051 Price: $600 neg This includes: Engine 1.8 DOHC, Air Flow Meter, Piping, Charcoal canister, engine pipe (exhaust) and full looms. It also includes a Exedy Clutch (to suit G series box), A Gates High Performance Timing Belt changed at 150000kms, NGK Iridium plugs, I bought the car at 134000kms and have serviced it every 5000kms with Ryco filters, have recently been running Motul 15W50 oil, always run on Optimax. Between the the T belt, clutch and plugs there is about $400 worth. This has been a great engine never missed a beat. The only reason it was taken out was due to the turbo conversion. I'd be interested, but i have a feeling it would cost as much as the engine to get it up to brisbane

hey guys sorry i havent been on for a couple of days... uni crunch time is here again!!
neways bourbon: sorry the speedo cable is still in my car with my gearbox.... although i have a electronic speedo cable off a BG Familiar... Mind u that means its to fit a AWD gearbox that has the electronic sender! which we unfortunately dont have lunchbox: as far as i know ur f series gbox will bolt to the engine. Ur engine mount positions are the same (i also have some spare mounts if urs are stuffed ). The package comes with an ECU, so that is sorted. tho im not sure how well it would plug into the rest of the loom i would suggest that it would have the same plugs as a BG hatch which also means no problems. first we were gonna put it into boyds (SehnKhan's) BG sedan down here in ballarat before he decided he was gonna get a new one instead. i reckon theyd be a pretty quick little car with the DOHC in em. ill leave it with ya Jeremy

Dutchy,
Im interested in your motor, mine has done 335k and it burns a HEAP of oil.. i gave a 30 min booting (taring round the city, constantly flat out!) got home.. and there was NO oil in the sump.. none! It went from 'F' to not even showing up on the stick! I am wondering if this engine burns any oil? Haha, im sure it doesnt! Also, do you know what intervals previous owner chagned the oil in his/her car? Will you go down to $450? Im Dan, thanks mate. |
