Problem With HID install for BJ2 SP20

hey guys
Ive just tried to install my new HID 35w h7 4500k lights Low beams.
Installed one on the passanger side and double checked everything was connected as per instructions (which look different to the actual kit.
Turned headlights on and they worked for a split second then it went out again.
Thought it might be something wrong with the ballast or unit so tried the other one but same thing happened.
Any Ideas as to what the problem could be?
Will post some pics up of the kit and cables etc when I can.
Cheers guys

make sure you connected your ground cables and check your relay harness

hey guys
I checked them thoroughly and everything seemed ok.
also tried them a few times but with the same result.
I will scan the instructions later and take some photos of the kit so maybe someone can help me find the problem
Cheers

Do they flick everytime you try to turn them on? Or was it just a one time thing?

every time. checked everything after the first time then turned the lights on and off about 4 or 5 times and the same thing happened. lights up for a split second then goes out.

I will add the pics at lunch today. it seams that there may be something missing from the kit. im not sure but it may have to have a relay but thats not included in the kit.
The image below is similar but there is no gromet and I had to connect the Wires from the light to the starter wiring.

Relays only needed if you power from the battery directly. Weird that both units are doing it. Almost as if the bulbs aren't igniting properly. They don't light up if you leave them on for 30 seconds do they?

You should still get some visible light straight away though, be about Parker brightness, but worth a shot

just flicking on they do dim as people have said but you would still see the light.

igniting briefly then going out sounds more like a ballast problem not bulbs.
i had this problem with my old ballast and then one day it just wouldnt even light them at all...
a bit odd that you managed to get 2 faulty ones... but someones got to right?
i would contact the seller/company whomever u purchased from and ask for a replacement.

Got them sorted
The ground (-ve) wire connectors where not touching properly and had a bad ground.
they work great and can see for ages with them. had to lower them though cause of the awsome brightness.
