The Fast And The Furious, Tokyo Drift = Lame
Sorry but this movie was the lamest I have seen this year. it has totally killed these cult movies. The lead actor was crap. The story was good. Was cool to see the original and best Drift King pretending to be a fisherman and cracking funny jokes.
Cars were awesome, photography was crappy, too much shaking etc. Anyways, I need to vent as I wasted good money on this crappy movie. Ryan. |

The previews were enough to tell me it was going to be "lame". The car that got t-boned and end up with massive front end damage???
Obviously the problem was there was no motec exhausts |

When I heard about this movie, I was expecting in-depth technical analysis, serious drift techniques explained and a very personal insight into the drift motorsport scene.... and here endeth the sarcasm.
Pfft... it's all about modded cars, hot chicks and special effects. Anyone expecting more DESERVES to feel ripped off :P |

drift is a little over rated.
it's a great spectator sport, and good fun........... but i dont see how one can make an entire movie on the subject??? i can imagine: "the fast and the furious 4: european rallycross" "the fast and the furious 5: australian motorkhana" "the fast and the furious 6: go karting" "the fast and the furious 7: ummm, we cant think of anything else so we walked around SEMA with a video camera"

Sorry to be different guys but i went to see the movie on the very first viewing at my local movies, the only thing i didnt like about it is that it was slow to get into the motor sports, but that has a good aspect behind it too because it got the story line going. the fast and the furious movies are improved on every time. the first one was the worst but they got better and more informed from there! even if you dont think you will like it guys i still encourage you to go see it, you might be surprised.
yes they are a bit over the top, yes the first one wasnt very well informed, yes they are followed by a bunch of twats that believe every work from these movies is a gift from god and all true, but in the end it is a movie and it comes down to one thing, did it entertain you, it did for me |

I wouldn't mind seeing it, it seriously cant be worse than the doom movie and I managed to make it through that, but there is no way I am going to pay to see it, i'll just bum a viewing off someone who buys or hires the DVD.

I ended up seeing it last night instead of Cars, and was surprised by how much i enjoyed it! The story was alright, if a bit patch, and the lack of CGI was a nice change. The laydeez were hawt too Better than the second one!
