I'm actually thinking silver as the main colour instead of white.

I found this on mazdas247, and although its talking about bikes, is relevant to the point I have tried to portray (and Tony as well )

Marc, I mean parts as in, "oh $#!T, I just snapped my car in half, and need a new chassis and prop-shaft!". Not, "Oh snap, I wish I had some blue metal on my car!".

And I meant in reference to keeping it on the cheap side in general

Find out who HSP is cloned off, and you will be fine. Most of the clone companies like HBX and HSP have near identical twins from long established manufacturers.
I'm just saying, if you get a part that constantly breaks, you at least have the option to go for genuine parts if the blutac and sticky tape isn't cutting it.

We weren't talking about HSP at all as I have never heard of them. Mainly we were talking about HPI but it sounds like a clone so should be easy enough to get parts. My mate bought a TA clone and has now pretty much replaced it with proper branded parts. LOL

Actually Jarrod, I was talking about HSP to Ryan, so I figured Tony was referring to that conversation.

Tony, 1800mah won't last very long, but a 5000mah will go for ages and won't damage your gear! What sort of charger have you got?

Mikey, with drift tyres they are not very fast. Maybe 25kph. But with grips tyres they will do 40-60kph depending on the motor.

Speaking of HPI, I'm still keen on that Blitz RTR for $309 posted.

it will be fun for a few weeks to a few months, then u will want to go brand named (tamiya or hpi is my prefence, both are good solid cars. prefer hpi, but parts are/were a bitch when i had my sprint 2) but at least u will have batteries, reciever, charger, motor a new ecu (apparently the stock hsp like to fry themselves) so all u need is a chassis which is a hell of a lot cheaper then buying everything as a package.

top speed stock is around 40-50km/h depending on gearing, modified is as fast as u want to spend money on. but around the 100-120km/h mark before everything becomes ridiculously expensive and custom made.

ok thinking of doing a group buy for lipos (or rahter im getting some so anyone else want to join with me to save shipping. can buy anything you like and its dan cheap (i.e. lipo charger for approx $35 (imax etc) and power supply (either $20 for a 200W one or like 10 for a 50W one- kepeing in mind most chargers only do 50W anyway)

and batteries.. are... cheap. the ezy run escs are $35 too.

all $$ in USD though. shipping isnt stupid and i usually get EMS - 3 days+ 2 days of them stuffing around... lipos are as good as any and used them before.. for us(rather, you guys :P) they are good enough. 4000mah 7.4v 25c lipo HARDCASED which will actually fit in the cars will set you back about $25 aud +shipping. deans plugs are also stupidly cheap and heatshrink/solder... 5000mah are about $35.

check it out: www.hobbycity.com

im happy to order for you guys and you can pay me back for stuff when i get it (but if its alot of stuff i dont have that much money, prepaying would be apprecated... oh one rule, dont tell anyone ESPECIALLY hobbyshops about this one. laughed when i walked into oz rc, similar stuff bought straight from these guys was at 500-1000% markup. I.e. saw battery worth about $10 selling for 75...

edit: good luck figuring out the site and sifting through the items (100000's of them!) im generally pretty good after spending hours searching through stuff over the last few years so if you cant find stuff and you really want it ill probably know where to look - i,.e. the menus include things irrelevant to the section and the search function is virtually USELESS...

grr deleted my post! aargh

the ultimate cheap and POWERFUL setup...
the above radio
a 3s lipo (2650mah 30C)
a 2s hardcased lipo (4000mah, 25C)
a 80W charger
a power supply for the charger
an 9turn (4800kV) finned can motor (58mm long, 36mm diameter)
a 100A programmable esc up to 4s input!
a program card for the esc
+shipping

so at 88c/dollar (stupid paypal) =$230 aud delivered in less than 1 week...make it $250 for me and call it a day :P

sounds like ALOT of money, and yes its a fair investment... just walk into an rc store/ or even WORSE hobbyrama! i paid $150 for a shell, 3 cans of paint and some wheels yesterday... they will charge $150 for the charger /psu alone, $120-170 for the esc for a 35 or 60A one which only does 2s lipos. batteries would be $50+ each...

tony they dont exist. 5600 were the biggest nimh to my knowledge, all the racers used 4600 as they held better voltage. note high quality cells (east power -EP, intellect IP, or GP cells) will yeild ALOT more useable power... hold their voltage better.

LOL AT THE ANSWER AT THE BOTTOM: Q: How long does it take to charge the battery?
A: Hi, the normal charge time is 8-10 weeks . any question please let me know . best regards Cinderella
