retrimming doors?

hey guys,
i honestly thought i had seen a DIY guide on trimming doors, but ive searched the lat few days and cant find anything...
does anyone have a guide on doing it? or specificly for a bj astina?
it looks like the material is trimmed onto the foam and then stuck onto the black trim on the door. i dont wanna rip the material of the door and ruin the door..
does anyone have any help?
thanks guys.

i allways thought that the material comes with the foam glued to it.. what i was gonna do is glue the new one over the old one, but i never gave it any thought really

i know what you mean lasr, im going to just fiberglass over the top of it all in which case search for custom door panels/trim on youtube and you will get a few videos

but pretty much they use mdf to create speaker pods, arms and other things stretch some cloth tightly over the top, fiberglass over that then prep and paint (it is more involved then that but thats the gist of it)

i am actually thinking of using something lighter like styrofoam or something... it should help with rattles and noise and its lighter so i wont have an extra 6 kg a door
