Oh ok! Well I guess I'm just out of your special group then haha. If Phil finds me a gtr while he's there I'll steal that but unless that happens doubtful I'll jump on this offer

Your more than welcome to come Ryan, its just Rhys needs to know whats going on as he is the only one not up to date with whats going on.
TBH aim for a GTX, they are still plentiful in NZ and much cheaper. I dont feel like scrapping a rare GTR. |

OK I met up with Rhys tonight and we had a good chat about importing these engines, it looks like I have found a bit more work for Rhys but with his help it looks like the whole process of importing the engine has just been made simpler for those involved.
So it really looks like I wont be the only FS-ZE powered Astina in QLD for too long. (As far as I know my car is the only FS-ZE powered FWD Astina in Australia (Definatley the only one with a MSF engine )) |

This shouldnt be too hard, at least not when someone up here does a decent write-up with photos explaining what to do. then its just a matter of removing those horrid CV joints, the bane of my existance!

Any way back on topic.. I should be in NZ next week everyone so we shall have to sort it all out this weekend.!!!! |

Ok Chewy/Marc,
I was talking to Phiilp yesterday about the packing of these motors.. We're going to need to put them in crates that have been heat treated/fumigated.. This will probably cost a fair bit... Unless we can find some massive steel box over there as per Phils suggestion I think it's going to be a little over $100 to crate each motor with it's bits and pieces. Also, I've been thinking about the clearance in AU, it will be much easier if all of the invoices are under one persons name- that way it can all be cleared as one shipment so if we just deposit the money into Phils account, he can pay for the motors over there and get the invoices in his name so that there isn't any issues with clearance. We also need to figure out where these are going to be deilvered. |

yeah it definitely sounds easier if it is all aggregated into one shipment under one person's name

The hard part would be finding a steel box to put 4 motors in I would assume, but how mcuh more will it cost for the fumigated crates?
Still going to the same 6-8week wait?
