tonight I was driving my car in the rain, rear end slid out around a corner and smashed into the gutter killing my rear right rim, along with my front bumper, my questions are, can I use the 4 cyl parts ( tire arm rod, rotor, hub etc) to replace my parts, and I'm guessing the coilover on that wheel is ruined, is there a chance it can be rebuilt?

you wont know the damage until you actully look at it. hopefully the wheel took the full brunt of the gutter and everything else is okay.

wheel damage is not strut damage. no good asking for imput without giving info out. best to taske photos if you want some imput via the interweb. hopefully you get it sorted asap.

V6 suspension is mostly different, so you'll need to replace it with same.

The coilover can be rebuilt, but until you actually take it off and check if it's bent then there's no way to tell if it even needs it. And if the body of the coilover is bent, then it's useless.

Until you get it checked out, there's no way of knowing what is needed

update on issues: the front and rear stbaliser bars ( tier arm rods?) were both bent and little rod from swaybar to shock was bent, however it seems the swaybar just got pushed over to the rear left about an inch but didnt bend ?, also coilover looks ok as does bar from hub to front of rear door, hope my dodgy descriptions do the trick

Red section: Steering knuckle or hub carrier
Blue section: Lower control arm or track control arm
Light blue section: Steering gear tie rod
Lower purple section: Radius rod
Upper purple Section: Coil spring
Yellow section: Tubular housing containing shock absorber or damper

Your lower control arm and radius rod are combined into one

so you did this:-

http://www.astinagt.com/forums/showt...t=gutter+60kph

the rear has alot of interchangable parts between V6 and I4 setups. somehow I thought it was the front for some reason. re-read your original post, and noticed rear on it.

Good luck. I paid way too much after searching for 2 months in Brisbane. Ironically maztech scored a set the week after for half the price. Good luck with the search!

Demanius just sold his car and they are pulling his old engine out so there maybe all the parts you need there!

Definitely contact Duke about this.
His plans seem to only involve the engine so you could be in luck
