B3Motorsports can do the Mazdaspeed LSD for $750aud plus postage to you (if required).

This includes:

LSD with final drive gear
2 Mazda bearings
1 Speedo gear

$20 less if the speedo gear is not required (sp20's etc)

that's way better than through canterbury when you work it out.

$810nz to you, at a current exchange rate of 1.17 that's $692, and you havent even looked at bearings or speedo gear (just called mazda and the bearings are $82.58 each!!!)

as an idea, shipping from brisbane to sydney is about $30 fully insured. so for a sydney sider you're looking at $780 through us...

feel free to email us at sales@b3motorsports.com or call us on 0403 885 046

price is naturally subject to change depending on various exchange rates.

You need a new supplier of bearings. The bearings i got through CBC were no where near that. I replaced all the bearings in my gearbox for a cost of around the $140 mark.

Imagine the saving you can give the users by using CBC as a supplier of the bearings.

BP, BPD and BPT rings are the same...

ACL Chrome Molly Ring Set (C1850) $95 or just the standard (PS1850) $75.

Wrong

I'll meet you half way though....if you can measure the piston and prove the depth, and height of the ring grove in the piston is the same, then i'll say you can use BP or BPT top and second compression rings.

But that list says you cant put BPD conrods in the BP either, I'm pretty sure you can at the expense of compression?

No the rods are a direct interchange, as the compression, bore and stroke are all the same. Also says the oil cooler is differerent, as well the oil jets and oil pan...all of these however WILL bolt onto a GTX engine...some of which will only work if you have another GTR part. Eg, oil jet and piston have to be matched. But it's been very specific with "Sectional Shape Different". Says to me it won't fit in the same grove.

I personally have heard of 1 GTR engine that was rebuilt with GTX parts, and it turned out to be a tradgic mistake. Now this is the only GTR engine that I have heard of being rebuilt without replacing the piston...so maybe the people that built it just ****ed up...i don't know.

BUT...until i got the ring groove dimentions of both pistons, also the ring dimentions, i wouldn't be interchanging these.

P.S.
Zappy, I have GTX pistons and rings on hand if you would like to compare your GTR piston dimentions.
