James, I hope you are only distributing the pics on the CD after you have obtained permission from the photographers?
All the number plates need to be blurred out, and personally I wouldn't like my pics handed around.... Just my opinion......... |

but of course....
they arn't my pics to hand around, nor have any others been made publicly available!! and thats copyright infringement if i did.... can someone please explain the whole blurring plates thing to me?? because as far as i knew unless i was making a post to ridicule or insult the said person involved taking a picture in any public place is publicly accessible by any medium.... those involved will have a PM regarding this, as i am a fair person

Speaking for myself here.... A CD Archive was created from a few peoples photos here in Canberra - mainly so that everyone could free up CF card space and the like and also see stuff on the big screen.
I think everyone who has pics on the CD would like to think that while others who have copies may archive the pics taken by others they won't distribute or publish the pics that aren't theirs. I went through this a few years ago with some pics of mine (hence why all my stuff hasa copyright on it and is published in lower quality) and if it happens again I'll be very pissed. As for plates - if there's anything in the pics that could be a danger to someones credibility/insurance or likewise issues I'll blank them, this is a newish thing that brought about by some insurance companies NOT covering participation on cruises, car companies voiding warranty for mods/trackwork etc etc. A. A.

i think just as long as the picture doesnt show you doing something stupid then it doesnt matter if the plates are visible or not

I guess it's a courtesy to allow people their anonymity as very few of us go by our given names, and you don't need to stuff around asking people.
It wouldn't be difficult to check-up on someone who has posted that they have performed an illegal mod (i.e. 20% window tint) and which car is theirs and it's rego. Mr Plod knocks on your door with a defect slip already written out. This has reportedly happened on MCCR (don't know how true it is). I mention the tint as it is fresh in our minds and it didn’t eventuate.

My 2c......
I didn't get a chance to edit the pics before the disc was burnt. There are pics on the disc that I do not like. I do not feel comfortable sharing those pics with everyone, it embarrasses me ops: /2c worth |
