Only with cars that weren't sold here, and then only for cars before 89, end even then someone still has to have a compliance licence for them.

The handful of grey-market Lantis that made it here were all 1993 ones, so escaped the 'same as sold here' law.

Gap plate? What's that?

But no, genuine JDM plates are quite hard to get outside of Japan.

Your best bet is eBay (in the US0 or maybe JDMStyletuning - sometimes sellers on there have them, but they're not cheap!

Id love to buy the AZ-1 and leave it stock, they are rare as there were only a few thousand ever made.
They are worth a crazy amount in the US!!!

the ultimate version is the Rotary one by RE AMAMEA (SP) I think they dropped a 20B into it or similar.

but just one on it's own is fine by me. Mind oyu it has no Mazda engine in it.

It's all Suzuki underneath as Rod said - Mazda gets all their Kei cars from Suzuki and just tweaks them.
