[color=#000080ost_uid0]Hey guys and girls,
I'm thinking about getting the mazda high-spec alarm installed in my sp20. It's got a dash (mazda guy told me on steering column or near HL dimmer) mounted LED, door protection, hot wire protection, panic alarm, audio and visual arm/disarm confirmation, automatic re-arm, triggered sector isolation (wtf is that????) and boot and bonnet protection, impact protection and battery back-up siren. The guy quoted me about $600 installed. What are your thoughts on that? Any people know of anyone who got one???? Thanx[/colorost_uid0] |

[color=#000000ost_uid0]You can get the same sort of thing for half the price.. I was quoted $399 installed @ strathfield for a high end cyclops alarm (which are made by dynamco www.dynamco.com.au)
$600 is bloody steep. You would want at least GSM pager.[/colorost_uid0]

[quoteost_uid0="supergirl"][color=#000000ost_uid0]triggered sector isolation[/colorost_uid0][/quoteost_uid0]
[color=#000000ost_uid0]thats where if you leave the hatch open but arm the alarm (as you do :: ), the alarm will arm all the other areas (doors/bonnet/etc) except the hatch as the alarm contacts aren't err, making contact. does that even make sense?[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]it's more for if you've accidentally left something open - a door slightly ajar - so it will still arm the rest of the car [/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Check out the dynamco website, it lists the features for the alarms. They are all modular so you can always plug in different modules at a later date as reqd.
the trigger isolation is as dan said, if a trigger isnt triggered, the alarm wont go off when you activate the alarm. Main use is so u can arm the car but have the boot still open, bonnet etc etc.[/colorost_uid0]
