New SP23
Well, after a bit of a break, I'm back. And, we are picking up our new SP23 Sedan on Friday! Wooooooo!!!!!
Looks like I'll get to drive it home too. Hmm, (Work) West Gosford ==> Wollombi ==> Swansea ==> Gosford sounds good to me!

Picked it up Saturday. Should have seen people in the showroom drooling over it (they weren't drooling after I slapped em up though. Teach em for dirtying our new car   ).
Anyways, took it up to Somersby, heading for Bumble Hill. Well, missed the turnoff for Bumble Hill, so kept going to Wollombi pub. Damn, it handles well, goes well, brakes well. Seats are comfy as (esp the back ones, damn, I could go to sleep in em). Can't hear the engine. Was surprised to see 4,500 RPM at one point. In the 'stina, you KNOW when you're doing 4,500, in the SP23, not a peep. Gear changes are smooth, and dropping from 4th to 3rd, yee-hah!!! (2nd is 'Holy ****, hope the seat doesn't fly back' stuff). Best car I have ever driven, EVER (although, that doesn't mean much. Colt, Magna, Lantra and Astina 1.8, not a comprehensive list is it?). Now, who's going to lend me $35000 so I can get my own? Oh, Kitty, is yours the Turbo MX5? I've been off the forums for a while...

So where are the pictures???
and no, it isn't the turbo MX5..... I already spent way too much money, the turbs would have cost even more!!! it already goes harder than my astina did tho! Can't wait to show you!!! BTW: I beat a black sp23 hatch yesterday (must admit I don't think they were tryin' hard LOL) but at least I did it with style too..... oooh, I do like the LED tail lights on the sp23, but why did they not do the top brake light as LED too? *ponders* Well done Shady!!! |

Piccies comin...George Lucas tailights (read: led) only on hatch. We got sedan.
$52,000 + insurance for turbo MX-5 with all the options (minus Air con. That's another 2 grand). All wheel drive turbo 6 coming soon as well as a "Luxury" version of the SP23 with all eather interior and sunroof (rumour overheard while at Mazda).

"Officially" that's correct. However, there is a guy with a sunroof installed.
Hance a gander at some of the media shots, and you'll see some actually do have a sunroof. Look closely now! AWD Mazda 6 Turbo late this year/sometime next year. MMMM
