Torque settings on the G-series gearbox.
Hi peeps just wanted to know does anyone know what the torque settings are for the G-series gearbox????

There's alot of bolts in a gearbox mate. A little bit more specific will help. If you're talking about the case bolts, tight is good enough...it'll only bring your preloads closer which isn't a bad thing.

thanks guys sorry if i didnt make it very clear ROB i was meant to say i need to know the torque settings on the main and lay shafts.
thanks lunchbox hope u can get that out to me asap. cheers and if anybody else knows already please let me know |

couldnt find much theres a whole 20 page chapter for the G series box LOL
have to read through it for you heres some torque settings tho Manual Transaxle Torque Specifications: Torque specifications to suit F5M-R (Bp &b62E) G5M-R (BP DOHC) F25M-R (1993 - 95Bp and B62E) G25M-R (BP DOHC 93+) ITEM.............................................. .................Nm Back Up Light Switch..........................................20 to 29 Transaxle to engine Bolts.....................................64 to 89 Engine Mount to support Subframe Nuts.................37 to 52 Support Subframe to Veicle Frame Bolts..................64 to 89 No.4 engine mount to transaxle Bolts......................55 to 80 Shifter extension Bar to transaxle nut.....................38 to 46 Shifter control rod to trasaxle Change rod Bolt.........16 to 22 thats all ive founds so far ill find you some more when i get the chance Hope i have provided at least some assistance

o my god thats great! lunchbox! i cant thank u enuf for taking out time n helping me find out that information. i will definitely let u know if everything goes back on properly.
i kinda remember my mech asking me to find out the torque settings for the main and lay shaft not sure if thats what he looking for but i defo pass it on cheers mate. Chi |

Yo lunchboz im afraid its not the ones i need do u still have the other torque settings for the main and lay shaft inside the gearbox mainly.
please help.... :S |
